Went on a recent "Photo Walk" and photographed a friend crossing the street. Photo required some work to tone down the pavement. Thanks for the review.

Thank you James for your critique. I love shooting macro shots of spiders. It's funny because I am deathly afraid of spiders but I love being able to see things that our eyes can't see when shooting a macro of them. They really are very cool to see up close and personal.

An outstanding example of motion blur. This shot is indeed a “wall-hanger”! Printed on Hannemul(sp) fine art pearl paper it would pass for a fine art pastel drawing. Well done.
With corrections!

This was my first attempt at motion blur in camera (the only post-processing was a contrast adjustment in PS). It is a fascinating technique that I recommend to others. The combination of subject (dark on light), timing the panning to the motion; shooting manual with speed and aperture not necessarily the " camera correct" exposure; and pure luck dictates the result.
Norman

P.S. Thanks for the comments

This old wheel is gone from the SM Pier and a new one is in it's place. This old wheel turned to magic when the sun went down, it was a thrill to shoot. Data: 1/4 sec F5.6 iso 500 Tri pods are not allowed on the pier so I found a very steady post to lean on.
